Carl Edward Trivette, Sr., 57, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his residence. Being the motorcycle enthusiast that he was and with his birthday coming up on Friday, his wife gave him the ultimate going away present by providing his last ride by Carolina’s Motorcycle Hearse Services as his wife, Terri, followed him to the funeral home.
Carl was born June 28, 1961 in Catawba County to Albert Carl Trivette and the late Hazel Faye Pruitt Trivette. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeannie Trivette and Kimberly Travis, a brother and sister in law, Johnny and Tammy Mathis.
He was previously employed by Style Furniture. He loved his grand baby’s and taking to the roads on his Harley Davidson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Terri L. Trivette of the home, four sons, Anthony J. Lewis of Columbus, N.C., Carl E. Trivette, Jr. of Cherryville, N.C., Curtise M. Trivette and Christopher M. Trivette both of Hickory, three brothers, Albert Trivette and wife Sharron of Rhodhiss, N.C., Lanny Mathis and wife Debbie of Lewisville, N.C. and James Mathis of Stanleyville, N.C., three sisters, Alice Miller of Taylorsville, N.C., Frankie Trivette of Newton, N.C. and Shirley Hall of Thurmond, N.C., and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, it was Carl’s request, to make a donation to the Cancer Research Institute, 29 Broadway, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10006-3111.
