Paul Felix Annas, 85, of Morganton passed away on Monday, March 04, 2019 at Magnolia Lane Nursing and Rehab.
Born May 4, 1933 in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Felix and Cora Crump Annas. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by two wives, Molly Hubbard Annas and Betty Jean Annas; seven brothers, Bill, Doug, Clarence, A.D., Rev. Grady, Valen, and Thad Annas; and three sisters, Naomi Annas, Mary Beane, and Lomis Martinez.
Paul was a faithful member, cofounder and Sunday School teacher at True Vine Church of God in Granite Falls. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Granite Falls VFW.
Survivors include four children, Sheri Walker of Morganton, Melissa Harris and husband John of Morganton, Chris Annas and wife Lois of Hudson, and Tim Annas and fiancée Kristie Gantt of Hudson; three stepchildren, Alan Speagle and wife Karen of Hildebran, Terry Speagle and wife Maxine of Hildebran, and Vicki Speagle of Florida; ten grandchildren, David, Angela, Rebekah, Hank, Jon, Stephanie, Holly, Bryan, Andy, and Jeff; twenty one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at True Vine Church of God with Pastor Buford Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the members of D.A.V. Chapter 6, Granite Falls, and D.A.V. Chapter 84, Taylorsville.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to services from 10:00am until 11:00am at the church.
