Pamela Honeycutt Kanipe, 64, of Hickory, passed away, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice.
Born January 14, 1953 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Gelene Honeycutt.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by 7 aunts and an uncle.
Ms. Kanipe was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hickory. She was a former board member of Catawba County Association of the Blind and the former Outreach Director for the Lutheran Blind Mission.
She is survived by her two sons: Tony Kanipe and wife Jessica of Newton, NC, Jody Kanipe of Hickory, NC; daughter, Genia Tilton and husband Richard of Hickory, NC; grandchildren: Leana Kanipe, Ryan Walker, Kaitlyn Kanipe, Liston Tilton, Emma Tilton; cousin, Lynne Bumgarner of Hickory, NC and numerous other cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Seaman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
