Alice Miller Watts, 85, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
Born June 17, 1933 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Eslie L. Miller and ArdieMae Sigmon Miller.

Mrs. Watts was a graduate of Claremont Central High School and the Woman’s College (now UNCG). She taught 30 years at College Park Jr. High School and Hickory High School, where she was head of the Math Department and also coached the HHS Quiz Bowl.
After her retirement Alice volunteered at Catawba Regional Hospice and at First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Church Session.
